Oak Roll Top Desk

Oak Crest roll top desk from Vernon, California?

I found a beautiful solid wood roll top desk in an antique store, the brass nameplate over the key latch says Oak Crest, and the hand inked label inside says Oak Crest, Vernon, California. Does anyone know if this desk really is an antique?

I have never heard of an Oak Crest in Vernon California. There is however a company under the name Oak Crest that still makes roll top desks. I believe they are located in North Carolina.
Also I'm not for sure how much they are asking for it but they are also appearing all over various craigslist and auction for up to $500.
